Infineum announces additive production in India
Infineum has announced an expansion in its local production capabilities in India by establishing a blending facility. This development will commence trial production mid-year 2025, with full-scale commercial blending operations expected to begin by the third quarter. The new facility will focus on blending sulfonate and salicylate packages, which are essential chemical additives for automotive lubricants.
India is one of the fastest-growing lubricant markets globally and Infineum India is advancing its production infrastructure and enhancing service offerings to meet the growing demand.
“At Infineum, we believe in the power of collaboration and the strength of our technology expertise to create significant value for our customers. The expansion of our local production capabilities in India, with the establishment of a cutting-edge blending facility, is a testament to our commitment to the Indian market. This strategic development will enhance our ability to meet the growing demands of the automotive sector and reinforce our objective to become the leading automotive additive brand in India,” said John Hong, Infineum Asia Pacific Sales Director.
In conjunction with this expansion announcement, Infineum India celebrated Infineum’s 25th anniversary with a customer seminar in Jaipur. The event, themed “Celebrating 25 years of Infineum: Navigating the Future Together,” saw participation from over 120 industry professionals and featured discussions on various industry topics.
Chris Locke, Infineum EVP Commercial, emphasised, “The lubricants industry must collaborate to create value effectively. Furthermore, engaging with our customers in India and understanding the local market are crucial to our success. Ultimately, success means delivering the right services and products to our customers. Therefore, it is imperative that we work together in this new uncertain context to ensure all the necessary elements are in place.”
