GS Caltex Launches New Engine Oil

GS Caltex has launched a new engine oil product, Kixx GS7, which has been certified to the latest standard (API SQ) of the American Petroleum Institute and is suitable for gasoline passenger cars. GS Caltex has a diverse product line-up, including the Kixx PAO engine oil product line using synthetic base oil PAO, the Kixx GX engine oil product line for passenger cars, and the Kixx DX engine oil product line for commercial vehicles.

This product released meets the following characteristics:

  • Protects the engine by strengthening timing chain protection performance and preventing low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI).
  • Enhances fuel efficiency by making it easy to start at low temperatures and reducing power loss in high-temperature environments.
  • Maintains viscosity while reducing engine oil consumption, demonstrating performance suitable for extending the oil change interval.
  • It is a 100% synthetic premium gasoline engine oil.

Along with the launch, Kixx, the lubricant speciality brand celebrated the 20th anniversary by renewing its brand from its product line up to its packaging including the logo, slogan and package design. Kixx is used across industries including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, electric and hybrid vehicles, turbines and ships and recently used in immersion cooling oil that cools data servers.

A GS Caltex official said, “Just as all moving machines need lubricants, GS Caltex Kixx lubricants will expand into a brand that creates a sustainable future in various industrial sites,” adding, “In particular, we will grow it into a lubricant brand that is recognized even more in the global market beyond the domestic market.”
