U.S. Lubricants to buy BP’s lube blending plant

U.S. Lubricants, a division of U.S. Venture, has entered into an agreement to purchase a lubricant blending and processing facility in Baltimore, Maryland, from BP.

The 105,500 square foot facility with blending, packaging and storage capabilities is rail-served, has an efficient trans-loading capacity, and is located near the Port of Baltimore, allowing U.S. Lubricants to blend more significant volumes and transport throughout the country.

“This acquisition, which is aligned with our transformational growth-oriented strategy, provides U.S. Lubricants the opportunity to expand into the mid-major market with the scaling capabilities of a major lubricant provider while retaining our family-owned values of placing our customers first,” said James Williams, president at U.S. Lubricants.

Not only will this opportunity expand our offerings to strategic customers with a need for optimized 3PL or toll blending, but it also allows growth for our THRIVE® brand, ultimately expanding our service area to customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, U.S. Lubricants added.

U.S. Lubricants is a leading lubrication solutions provider offering a wide range of lubricants, lubrication services, and reliability programs for automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial businesses.
