RelaDyne, a lubricants distributor and provider of fuel, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), and industrial reliability services, has acquired OilRed, a Chevron lubricants distributor and provider of technical solutions serving automotive, commercial, and industrial customers in authorized territories in Colombia. The acquisition expands RelaDyne’s Latin American platform into Colombia, one of the region’s most important and attractive lubricants markets, while broadening the reach of Grupo Lucalza, RelaDyne’s Latin American division.
OilRed serves customers in authorized territories in Colombia with lubricants, greases, coolants, and value-added lubrication to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support operational reliability. OilRed’s current management team will remain in place to lead day-to-day operations, preserve the company’s strong local relationships, and continue delivering the responsive service and market expertise its customers rely on. The company will work closely with Grupo Lucalza to accelerate its next phase of growth within the assigned territories in Colombia.
“We are so excited to join the RelaDyne team,” said Ana María Zapata, Chief Executive Officer of OilRed. “This partnership creates new opportunities for our employees, customers, and the markets we serve. Our management team will remain in place, and our customers can expect the same trusted service and local support they know from OilRed. With the additional resources, scale, and technical capabilities of RelaDyne and Grupo Lucalza, we are well positioned to strengthen our customer value proposition and continue growing the business.”
“The RelaDyne team is thrilled to welcome OilRed to the RelaDyne family,” said Eric Royse, Chief Executive Officer of RelaDyne. “This acquisition provides an outstanding platform for continued growth, combining deep local market knowledge with a talented management team. Together with Grupo Lucalza, we see significant opportunity to expand our geographic reach, enhance our technical offering, and create additional value for customers across automotive, commercial, and industrial end markets.”
“The Grupo Lucalza team is excited to welcome and begin working alongside Ana María Zapata, Juan Carlos, and the entire OilRed organization,” said Guillermo Méndez, Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Lucalza. “Our organizations share a strong commitment to our communities, our people, our customers, and safe operations every day. Grupo Lucalza’s infrastructure, supplier relationships, and commercial capabilities will complement OilRed’s local expertise as we collaborate to support our customers, expand our service coverage, and pursue attractive growth opportunities in Colombia.”
“This acquisition is an important milestone in our Latin American growth strategy and establishes RelaDyne’s operating presence through OilRed in Colombia, a highly strategic lubricants market in the region. OilRed reflects the type of business we seek to partner with: highly respected owners and operators with a proven track record of success and a clear path for continued growth,” said David Schumacher, Chief Strategy Officer of RelaDyne.
“Colombia represents a compelling long-term growth opportunity within Latin America, and OilRed provides RelaDyne with a strong foundation from which to build. We are excited to support OilRed’s continued growth while preserving the local leadership, entrepreneurial culture, and customer focus that have made the company successful.”
